The website has received a request for information about walking routes around the Parish. This is not the first request that the website has received. Is there somebody who would be able to put together a few paragraphs of information about the subject that we can publish and keep on the site? Who can help?
We have a reply from John Parsons who writes:
I'm still pretty green on this 'ere computer stuff but managed to log on to your site and read that a request had been received about walking routes.
Well, parishioners and others are welcome to walk our forty acres of grassland at Packway Farm. Boundaries are easily recognised and in any case the Packway itself is a bridle way running through the middle. The land is currently under a Natural England environmental scheme and subject to certain conditions but the twenty year old scheme expires in 2014 leading to an uncertain future. Unfortunately, some areas have surface damage caused by horse riders straying from their allotted bridle way during the wet season leaving deep hoof marks, so walkers, please tread carefully but you are nonetheless welcome.
Kind regards,
John Parson.
Thanks John for your repsonse - any others?
