The Halesworth Hoppa runs via Chediston and Linstead to Halesworth every Wednesday morning and brings you back FREE-OF-CHARGE. Chris Roose explains more about this great service which has been kindly sponsored by a donation until Christmas. If the service isn’t used it will be discontinued.
Some of us that use the above service want to make sure that all residents of Linstead and Chediston know about this service. This is because we nearly lost this service but there has been a change of heart and at the moment the service has been extended until Christmas The Hoppa arrives in Chediston at 9.30 over the little bridge. It travels up to Chediston Green , turns left at the end of the lane down towards Linstead Church. It turns right at the crossroads and goes to Linstead Village Hall and turns here and travels to Halesworth along the B1123. The bus can be hailed to stop anywhere (safe) along the route. Drop off is in the main carpark or stay on to the station. Although again you can let the driver know if there is anywhere along that route that you need to get off. It really is a friendly social ride and we all enjoy catching up and seeing each other. This will be a big bonus for anyone who is stuck at home a lot in the winter. Most of us do what we have to do then meet up in Edwards for more chat and a cuppa. The bus picks up again at 11.30, again in the carpark. It would be great if more would use it so it could be saved from stoppi
