Although the Waveney Foodbank continues to provide wonderful support for those in need, the majority of the provisions are in the form of dry goods and tins. A number of Parish Councils and another very kind organization have generously decided to compliment that support by providing fresh fruit, meat and vegetables through a voucher scheme using some Halesworth shops with their help and support. This scheme is similar to the scheme recently introduced in Halesworth
This relief scheme is aimed at those who find themselves on very low income due to the current crisis. If you live in one of the villages listed below and you need help, please apply to Revd Jane Held 07771 556391 or email jane@janeheld.co.uk. We will ask you some simple questions to decide on eligibility. Please call between 9.00am and 1.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; 9am – 1pm. Vouchers will be issued dependent on the need and size of the family and only during the current lockdown measures.
The vouchers must be provided to the retailer either in person if you visit the shop, or exchanged on delivery (if this option is available). Vouchers can only be redeemed at those retailers involved in the scheme. Recipients will be told where they can redeem their vouchers.
The villages in the scheme are:
Blyford; Bramfield; Brampton; Chediston; Cookley, Heveningham, Holton, Huntingfield, Linstead, Rumburgh, Spexhall, Thorington, Walpole, Wenhaston, Wissett, and Ubbeston
