Open Reach came out on Monday to fix a problem with a line and, in doing so, appear to have created a fault whereby several (maybe all) numbers going through the exchange box are mixed up.
If you are affected you may not realise it as you can still make calls. However, if you are called the call with go through to someone else.
Open Reach has arranged for traffic management so they can handle one of the calls raised about this today. However the engineer told me that he is only sorting individual faults as they are raised and that sorting this for one line may not correct it for the rest. So you may wish to check whether your line is affected and, if so, call your provider immediately to raise a fault so that it might be sorted today and you don’t have to wait for traffic management to be called out again.
