We regret to report the sad passing of Peter Andrews. His son Steve writes:
We thought that we should drop you an email to notify the passing of our father Peter Andrews.
Peter was brought up in Chediston at Stone Cottage Chediston by the late Elsie and Percy Andrews before he moved to Ipswich for work in the late 1950’s.
Peter passed away on 16th June and his funeral is on 28th June at 9.45 at the Seven Hills Crematorium Ipswich.
In the 1950’s Peter was known for playing his accordion at the Duke’s Head pub in Chediston and he is on a picture on the Chediston website with his accordion.
Dad moved from Chediston in 1958 when he and our mother married and moved to Ipswich where he was living until his death.
Our Nana Elsie Andrews lived at Stone Cottage, Chediston until about 1992 when she moved to a care home in Ipswich until she died. Both Nana and Grandad are buried in the churchyard at Chediston.
I believe I Am correct in that Ray Andrews who is mentioned on the site was my Dad’s cousin.
