Tom Benfield

 On the 13th January Tom Benfield passed away aged 90.  Tom came to Chediston Chase in 1992.  Tom was a very private man who I knew quite well.  He allowed me to farm his field after we had suffered a devastating fire in 1993. Pat Gregory writes that he visited Tom quite regularly and enjoyed long chats about our joint interests over a cup of tea.  We never had a cross word. I shall miss him greatly.
