We do hope you will join us at the Carol Service at St Mary's Chediston, and we have a few special requests as well as some information for those attending to help keep us all safe this Christmas:
- Taking a Lateral Flow test before the service would be appreciated, but we cannot police that
- No one to come if they have a hint of a cold, sneezing fits or sore throat. These are signs before the LFT is positive.
- RE serving refreshments, this will be done outside the church porch. People can collect a drink if they wish. Then go into church after disposing of paper cups in the wheelie bin.
- People should wear masks / face coverings to go into church and for the duration of the service.
- Readers will take their masks off once in the pulpit and replace when they leave it.
- People can sit if they prefer to. Woollen tartan knee rugs will be available for older folk. I will put one in each pew. (Leftover from Sarah’s wedding!)
- I will have both doors fully open and the window on the organ side which can be opened.
- We will light the candles in the glass covered candle holders at the pew ends and nightlights in the windows. They should be protected from the open door drafts.
