As you will know, the Christmas Fair has been cancelled in its normal format. As the church’s main fund raiser we have been thinking of alternative means of filling the gap through on-line and other means. Here’s what we’ve come up with:
Grand Christmas Raffle
Prizes available include:
- Traditional Hamper
- Craft gin
- £25.00 Bridge Farm meat voucher
- Christmas bundle of festive goodies
- And many more, including various bottles!!
How does it work? Well, raffle tickets cost £5.00 per strip. For virtual tickets, ring Ann or Graeme on Tel: 01986 875342. You will be told your ticket numbers which will be logged, with the tickets placed in the usual real bucket! Payment can be made by BACS or cheque, payable to Chediston PCC. The draw will be made by an independent villager of good standing, if we can find one!! It will take place on 20th December. Winning tickets will be published on the Chediston website and prizes delivered before Christmas.
Other traditional Fair goodies can also be obtained as follows:
- Joyce Gregory’s famous jam, chutney and marmalade
You can still obtain these wonderful items directly from Joyce by calling in person to Ash Farm, up on the Green. Just call in advance to let her know what you need – Tel: 01986 785392.
- Judy Fossett has also kindly agreed to provide her dinky Christmas cakes, which make great presents or maybe ideal for reduced family gatherings! These need to be pre-ordered with Judy, so call her on 01986 785389 as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out.
- And finally, there are a few of the festive face masks left, which Ann has been making over the last couple of weeks. Again, give her a call on 875342 to grab one, for just £4, before they’re gone.
Good luck everyone, hopefully we will see you again at the 2021 Christmas Fair, and we hope you can make the best of what is likely to be a very odd Christmas period!
