Stephen Burroughes elected Vice Chairman of Suffolk
At the Annual Council meeting of Suffolk County Council on the 30th June, Cllr Stephen Burroughes who is the County Councillor for the Framlingham Division which covers 24 parishes including the historic town of Framlingham, was elected as Vice Chairman of the County Council and second citizen of Suffolk.
Stephen was elected to Suffolk in May 2013 (Suffolk County Council has it’s HQ at Endeavour House in Ipswich) and very quickly rose through the ranks firstly as Chairman of Education & Children’s Services Scrutiny, and in 2015 became the member with Special Responsibility for Children in Care and Specialist Provision.
Stephen was born in Suffolk and grew up on the family farm at Chediston Grange
